Welcome
Welcome to the website for the information assurance lab.
You'll find expanded documents, links, and other resources
available here. There will be additional content
coming soon!
The information assurance lab was
created in 2003 as a resource for Dakota State
University faculty, staff, and students. The lab allows for
the use and testing of advanced computer security tools in a
safe "sandbox" environment. The lab is utilized for educational means
in many of DSU's computer security classes, as well as by
students and staff who wish to do research on a variety of
computer security issues.
The IA Lab is located in East Hall. We continue to
upgrade the lab in order to provide a more complete and
realistic learning environment. Our current
configuration includes 12 workstations with the ability to
boot into either Windows XP or Linux, 4 "victim" pc's,
1 server, 1 packet collector, and a hardened
host. All of these machines are interconnected via Cisco
2900 switches.
